Ingredients

  • 1 Bottle (12 oz.) Del Monte Chili Sauce
  • 1 c. (more or less) C & H light brown sugar
  • Heinz Apple Cider vinegar (enough to make sauce proper consistancy... 1/2 c)
  • Cayenne Pepper to taste (1 tsp.)..we like it HOT

Instructions

  1. Mix everything in Tupperware using cayenne to taste.
  2. Sauce will keep indefinitely in frig.
  3. The brand names of the ingredients must not be substituted.
  4. The Del Monte Chili Sauce is difficult to find.
  5. We buy it at Vons.
  6. When you find it, buy extra to keep on hand.

    I think they have discontinued Del Monte chili sauce. I’ve looked everywhere. I tried the Save Mart brand, Sunny Select Zesty Chili Sauce. I think it was every bit as good.
    I’ve tried other brands before and they were not good.
