Date Nut Pudding (cake like)

Ingredients
- 1 lb. pecans (cut up)
- 1 lb. dates, cut up
- 4 eggs, separated (beat egg whites until whites are stiff)
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 T flour (Sift with baking powder)
- 1 T baking powder
- 1 T vanilla
- Array
Instructions
- 350 degrees preheated
- Sift flour with baking powder.
- In a separate, beat egg yolks and sugar.
- Fold in beaten egg whites.
- Add vanilla.
- Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
- Fold in dates, and then nuts.
- Bake 350°For 40 minutes.
- Serve topped with whipped cream.
