Hot Milk Sponge Cake

Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 1 t. baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 c. milk, scalded
- 2 T. butter
Instructions
- Beat eggs together until thick.
- Add sugar to eggs and beat hard.
- Add flour, baking powder and salt.
- Scald milk with 2 T. butter.
- Stir hot milk into cake.
- Bake in greased pan for 30 minutes (maybe less).
- Topping:
- 6 T. brown sugar
- 4 T. cream
- 4 T. butter, melted
- 1 c. coconut
- Mix together and spread on top of cake.
- Place under broiler until toasted and fluffed.
