Orange Almond Shortbread Cookie

Ingredients
- 1 lb. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 tsp Almond extract
- 4 c. flour
- 2 c. slivered almonds, chopped finely
- Zest of 4 oranges
- Array
Instructions
- CombIne and roll out dough on floured board, 1/4” thick into an even rectangle.
- Cut into 2inch squares, then bake individually at 325°For 20-25 minutes.
- Freezes well.
- Notes: Incorporate flour as needed to roll out.
- Leftover pieces combine with another blob of dough and re-roll.
- Makes about 120 cookies when cut 2”x2”.
