Ingredients

  • 1 box plain yellow cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 can (30 oz. size) pumpkin
  • 1 c. margarine or butter
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 1 T. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Directions:
  2. Reserve 1 cup of the cake mix.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Melt 1/2 the margarine and mix with remaining cake mix and 1 beaten egg.
  5. Spread in bottom of 9 x 13-inch greased Pyrex dish.
  6. Mix together the first measure of brown sugar, the milk, cinnamon,
  7. remaining beaten eggs, and pumpkin.
  8. Pour over cake mix layer.
  9. Combine the reserved cup of cake mix, remaining brown sugar and the
  10. remaining softened margarine.
  11. Crumble over pumpkin layer and bake 45
  12. minutes at 350°F.
  13. Serve warm, or chill in refrigerator.
  14. Cut in squares and serve with
  15. whipped cream or whipped topping.
