Ingredients

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1/2 t. baking soda
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg well beaten
  • 5 or 6 c. flour
  • 1 c. sour cream

Instructions

  1. Bake in moderate oven 375 degrees 12-15 minutes
  2. Use 5 c. flour for drop cookies and 6 for rolled.
  3. For chocolate drop cookies, use cocoa, nuts, chocolate drop.
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1/2 t. baking soda
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg well beaten
  • 5 or 6 c. flour
  • 1 c. sour cream
