Mary Margaret Sunker is  a “bestie” of Mary Ann Laun.  She used to make these cookies for her son’s golf team and they were an all-time favorite!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter softened

  • 1 ½ cups white sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 4 tablespoons white sugar

  • 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

  2. Cream together butter, 1 ½ cups sugar, eggs, vanilla.

  3. Blend in the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt

  4. Shape dough by rounded spoonfuls into balls 

  5. Mix together 4 T white sugar and 4 teaspoons cinnamon. Put into a baggie

  6. Drop balls of dough one at a time into the baggie mixture and coat

  7. Place on parchment paper And Bake 8 minute until set but not too hard.

  8. Remove immediately from baking sheets
