Ingredients

  • 30 to 35 Medium sized cucumbers
  • 8 Large White onions
  • 2 Large Sweet peppers
  • 1/2 C. Salt
  • 5 C. Cider Vinegar
  • 5 C. Sugar
  • 2 T. Mustard seed
  • 1 t. Tumeric
  • 1/2 t. Cloves

Instructions

  1. Wash cukes and slice as you wish.
  2. Chop onions and peppers; combine with cukes and add salt.
  3. Let stand 3 hours then drain.
  4. Combine vinegar, sugar and spices in large preserving kettle, bring to a boil.
  5. Add drained cukes; heat thoroughly but DO NOT boil.
  6. Pack in sterilized jars and seal at once.
