Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. canola oil
  • 40 ounce can of beans

Instructions

  1. Heat salad oil 1/2 cup or 1/2 inch (depending on pan) for a 40 ounce can of beans
  2. Make it very hot.
  3. Drain the beans and reserve the liquid.
  4. Add the beans to the hot oil and stir it, frying the beans as in refried...
  5. Then after a bit, use a potato masher and mash the beans...you can add some of the liquid back in at the end if they are too dry or to the consistency you like (appx. 1/2)
  • 1/2 c. canola oil
  • 40 ounce can of beans

    I use much less oil. Just cover the bottom of the pan!
