Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. top round steak
  • 2 green bell peppers, 1/2 inch slices
  • 1 large onion, 1/2 inch slices
  • 8 oz. mushrooms, quartered
  • 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 t. garlic powder
  • 2 T. onion soup mix
  • 2 T. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c. mayo
  • 1 t. minced garlic
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 6 sandwich rolls

Instructions

  1. Slice steak into very thin slices.
  2. Place sliced steak into large zip-lock bag.
  3. Set aside.
  4. In another zip-lock bag, add sliced peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
  5. Set aside.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, onion soup mix, and worcestershire sauce.
  7. Pour half of marinade into each zip-lock bag.
  8. In a small bowl combine mayo and minced garlic.
  9. Set aside.
  10. Preheat saute pan on grill.
  11. Saute vegetable until desired degree of doneness, about 10-15 minutes.
  12. Remove from pan and set aside.
  13. Quickly grill steak.(Saute pan) Remove and set aside.
  14. Spread sandwich rolls with garlic mayo.
  15. Fill rolls with steak, vegetabels, and a slice of cheese.
  16. Wrap sandwich with foil and place on the grill and cover.
  17. cook until cheese has melted.
  18. Serve.
