Ingredients

  • 2 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 t. vanilla
  • 1 t. baking soda
  • 1 t. salt
  • 6 c. of flour

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar Add eggs.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
  3. Sift together flour, salt and soda.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  5. Add water up to 1 T. to make dough pliable to roll out.
  6. Roll out thin.
  7. Use cookie cutters for shapes.
  8. Sprinkle with colored sugar.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees until the color turns pinkish (not brown).
  10. Remove them, Cool them and try not to cool them all!
